A spokesman for China’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed Chinese leader Xi Jinping will visit the United States next week.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lu Kang, said, “President Xi Jinping will visit Finland from April 4 to April 6 and will meet President (Donald) Trump at the Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida from April 6 to April 7.”
Trump has talked a lot about making trade with several nations fairer for the United States. None more so than China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a pre-emptive statement about inevitable discussions on trade.
Lu Kang said: “The market dictates that interests between our two countries are structured so that you will always have me and I will always have you. We believe that the essential and effective way to make sure the economic and trade relationship can bring more practical benefits to people from two countries is for both sides to work together to make the cake of mutual interest bigger and not simply fairly distributed.”
