Vogue’s editor Anna Wintour was given a top honor by British royalty. Queen Elizabeth made Wintour a dame, a status equivalent to a knight. The 67-year-old Wintour has been the editor at Vogue for almost 30 years.
Known for her perpetual calmness, Wintour has been at the pinnacle of high fashion, seen on the runway sidelines for years.
Wintour was raised in London to a British father and an American mother. She was editor at British Vogue until she crossed over to the American edition, in 1988, according to the BBC.
She attended the ceremony with her daughter, Bee Shaffer.
