Think you’re an expert at driving in the snow?
Wintry road conditions can be deadly, whether you learned to drive in Alaska or Florida.
According to the Safe Winter Roads organization, more than 116,000 Americans are injured and over 1,300 are killed on snowy, slushy, or icy pavement every winter.
The organization advocates for safe roads during the winter, including trying to make sure enough road salt is applied to roads that have snow, ice, or slush on them.
There are ways to drive safely in the winter and sometimes small changes to people’s driving habits can end up saving lives.
