A former seminary student threw a shoe at former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on March 11.
The man then jumped on stage, raised fists, and shouted slogans before security guards grabbed him.
The incident took place at the Jamia Naeemia Seminary as Nawaz was about to address the crowd.
Nawaz was unhurt and the assailant was swiftly detained.
Police identified the attacker as Talha Munawwar, a former seminary student and a member of Tehreek-e-Labaik Islamist party, according to Pakistan’s The Nation.
