Wild’s Staal Gives ‘Hat Trick’ Hats to Kids at Children’s Hospital

Children at one Children’s Hospital were surprised by one of the best hockey players in the country when he stopped by to hand out hats.

Eric Staal scored three goals in the game on Feb. 27. The next day, he and Minnesota Wild mascot, Nordy, entered the St. Paul Children’s Hospital for some fun and games.

They handed out hats, posed for pictures, autographed hats and other items, and played some floor hockey with the children.

The parents and children were thrilled with the visit.

“When you have the likes of Eric Staal and all that coming in, the team players, you feel like you’re not forgotten,” Andy Caldwell, the father of one of the children, told CBS.
