Trump Given Early Birthday Surprise by Singapore During Lunch Meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump was given an early birthday surprise during a lunch meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Monday.

A photo posted by Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, showed Trump in front of a cake with the caption “Celebrating birthday, a little early.” The president’s 72nd birthday will fall on Thursday.

After the meeting, Trump went back to his hotel while being escorted by security. Several onlookers took photos and cheered the convoy on.

“I feel very honored because this is the first time President Donald Trump came to Singapore and he is on a meeting with Kim Jong Un, and it’s the first time U.S President has met with North Korean leader in Singapore, so I just feel very honored,” said student Koh Zong Wei.

“At least is a step in the right direction, in the hope that two leaders can come to a conclusion,” said Freelance Illustrator Thomas Tan.

Trump is slated to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday, in what would be the first time the leaders of the two countries have come face-to-face.
