Naturally this news spread fast and frightened the living daylights out of people in the surrounding areas, many of whom called the "ebola zombies" "ghosts" that should not be with the living. Whether this report was actually true or not has yet to be seen as no other details was given. Such as are these "ebola zombies" eating normally or feasting on brains and are they back to leading normal lives.
The two victims both women in their 60s and 40s respectively both died in Nimba County in Liberia. They lived in separate communities, one in Hope Village Community and the other in Catholic Community in Ganta.
The New Dawn newspaper lists the "Ebola resurrection" or "Ebola Zombies as one of a few unusual happenings in the course of the current outbreak in the region, adding:
Ma Kebeh had reportedly been in door for two nights without food and medication before her alleged death. Nimba County has had bazaar news of Ebola cases with a native doctor from the county, who claimed that he could cure infected victims, dying of the virus himself last week.
The report by the New Dawn newspaper still has no follow up on the initial report and some are saying that this story was a hoax or the very least the result of poor doctoring skills that did not actually confirm whether the two women were actually dead.
There is one development, a few days ago the Ebola Zombie story was reenergized by a post that suggested that another ebola virus victim has "resurrected" and is now walking among the living making that a total of three Ebola Zombies and counting.
However according to snopes.com the site that posted the Ebola Zombie update is satirical in nature. One can only hope that the story is indeed a hoax as nobody wants to see a real life Ebola Virus Zombie Apocalypse.
The Ebola Zombie story first started on September 24th when a Liberia based newspaper called the New Dawn Truly Independent published a story about two victims of the Ebola virus who came back to life right before their burials.
