The Chinese Communist Party expels Wang Lijun from the Party.


The Chinese regime has reaffirmed that it will hold on to its single-party rule, and continue to cling on to the ideologies of Mao Zedong.


Rights groups report lengthy jail terms are being handed out dissidents and other persecuted groups in China ahead of the 18th Party Congress. One practitioner of the Falun Gong spiritual practice was sentenced to 14 years in prison in May.


The Chinese regime says demands for international investigators to go Tibet are “arrogant”.


Ordinary Chinese citizens issue open letters to delegates of the 18th Party Congress, raising issues ranging from forced abortion, botched blood transfusions and corruption of the judiciary.


Chinese stocks closed lower on Friday, with the 18th Party Congress yet to announce any concrete plans on the economy.
