China News Broadcast, February 5, 2013: China Aims Military Radar at Japanese Ship

 Japan lodged a complaint that accused a Chinese warship of pointing missile radars at its military targets on January 30th.


Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Faisal al-Makdad, is in China on a four day visit to meet with Chinese officials. His visit comes amid a crisis in his home country.


A Beijing court sentenced 10 men today for illegally keeping petitioners in secret detention centers, also known as black jails.


Chen Zhenping, a Falun Gong practitioner,  was arrested on the eve of the Olympics. Since her arrest, Chen has been tortured and deprived of sleep in Henan Xinxiang Women's Prison.
