Sweet mama cat nursed not only her babies, but 14 kittens of her sister cats too

It’s everyone’s responsibility to jump in and help out when circumstances get overwhelming. This sweet cat demonstrate this in her commitment to her newly born litter of kittens.

Izabelle the pretty tabby cat, gave birth to a litter of delightful kittens. She had her paws full, and to top it all, two other “sister” cats gave birth to their kittens at the same time!

With the sudden influx of kittens, the owners and the other mama cats were quite simply overwhelmed. The other cats were “inexperienced” at motherhood, and some kittens were not getting their share of nutrition and going hungry. Izabelle gave no thought to herself and offered her services, to help out with the feeding. She began to nurse not only her own kittens, but two other litters. She was taking care of 14 kittens all up.

“While people often take kittens to shelters, thinking it will be easy for them to be adopted, that’s not the case when kittens are just a few weeks or only a few days old,” said Nicole Hamilton, from Best Friends Animal Society. “While kittens are usually adopted very quickly, it takes a lot of time and work to get them ready for their big day.”

Regrettably, Izabelle and her 14 kittens ended up at the Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), for her owners couldn’t manage. In saying that, they’re so adorable that it probably won’t be long before they are adopted and taken to a new loving household.
