The Indian Army is one of the greatest in the world for a reason. With time, they have only proved their mettle and emerged stronger than ever. Recently a team of mountaineers from the Indian Army made the country proud yet again. They conquered Mt. Everest without any supplementary oxygen.
In June this year, a team of Jawans created history. The four climbers who scaled the peak are Kunchok Tenda, Kelshang Dorjee Bhutia, Kalden Panjur and Sonam Phuntsok.
Vishal Dubey, in Hindustan Times report, said that they had formed a team of 10 with the motive of climbing the mountain without supplementary oxygen. Out of the 10, four members made it to the top without oxygen.
They became the first team ever to achieve this feat. Out of the thousands who have climbed Everest, only a handful of individuals have done so without oxygen.
Kudos to the team for this achievement!
