The 2,600 pound gentle ‘giant’ is the two time winner of the world’s tallest horse

This sizeable Belgian draft horse is a two-time winner of the world’s tallest horse, per Guinness World Records. The gentle giant stands at a staggering 210.2 cm (6 foot 9) and has made his owner proud.

Meet Big Jake, he’s 16-years-old and lives on Smokey Hollow Farm in Michigan, USA. Despite his hefty size, he gets along very well with all the other animals.

“He was extremely hard to hold on to when he was young and when I would turn him outside sometimes he would take me with him!” his owner Jerry Gilbert says.

The 2,600 pound (1,179 kg) horse consumes 1.5 bales of hay and 40 quarts of oats daily.

“Everything has to be big! His stall is 20X20 feet when an average stall is about 12X12 feet… when we transport him we have to use a semi trailer.”
