Chinese Family of Over 500 Reunited for Family Photo

Every Chinese New Year means a gathering with the whole family and visiting extended relatives. It’s tradition to take a family portrait.

This year, more than 500 members of a Chinese family got together for an epic family photo.

The eldest member is more than 90 years old, and the youngest member is less than one year old!

The photo took place at the Ren family reunion in Shishe village, Zhejiang Province.

The photographer told the BBC that the Ren family can be traced back 851 years.

Village elders recently began updating the family tree records.

They tracked down at least 2,000 living descendants spanning seven generations.

After completing the family tree, they held a massive reunion.

Family members came from Beijing, Shanghai, Xinjiang and Taiwan for the reunion.
