When Josh Gallant decided he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his girlfriend, he decided he wanted to do something special—but instead of doing something big, he chose an intimate setting for a gesture from the heart.
The pair were sitting by a campfire in Dyea, Alaska, when Gallant pulled out a ukulele and began to sing.
Crooning out the words to a song he wrote for the special occasion, Gallant lets his girlfriend know just how he feels.
Their friends are gathered around with them, so at first you can tell that she’s not too caught up in what’s happening. But as the recording progresses and his motives become clearer, you can tell that she’s both amused and enamored.
By the time he gets down on one knee and holds out his hand for the ring—still in its box, conveniently being held by a friend already in on the plan—she can’t believe what’s happening!
It’s clear that the smaller venue was the right move for this couple, as his girlfriend isn’t into jumping up and down or screaming. But after she says yes and gives him a kiss, you can see her quickly wipe the tears from her eyes; although she isn’t displaying a whirlwind of emotions, it’s clear she’s overwhelmed nonetheless!
