One day in June, a dog walker heard whining sounds coming from bushes near the road in Norma, Italy. The man brought it to the attention of a woman and her friend who were in the area, the Mail Online reported.
“I was out walking with a friend when I came across a dog walker who said he’d heard noises coming from a hedge, and indicated at the place where the noises were coming from,” Susanna Bergamaschi said.

Bergamaschi, a dog rescuer, went with the man, and they spotted the source of the sound—a plastic bag. The man retrieved it and handed it to Bergamaschi’s friend. She then began to quickly untie it to release what was wriggling inside. When they opened it, they were shocked to find three newborn puppies.
Fortunately, they were still alive, albeit a little worse for wear and crying out. No one knows how long the pups had been there.
Seeing the innocent and scared pups, Bergamaschi decided to care for them.
“I took them home and from here, their life will begin,” she shared.
In a Facebook post, Bergamaschi wrote how she could not believe someone could be so cruel to discard the animals in such a manner. Her mind was set on helping the puppies though, and she bottle-fed them until a surrogate mother was found.
The newborns responded beautifully, and from being left for dead at the side of the road, they grew to be sweet healthy puppies.
