A Jollibee crew member’s gentle and kind gesture left one patron starting her day on a “jolly,” positive note.
On one wet and rainy day in June, Joy Wilgin Ong dined in at the Jollibee fast food outlet located near the Bureau of Immigration in the Philippines.
While eating, she looked out at the rain and caught sight of a heartwarming scene.
It warmed the cockles of Ong’s heart when she saw a Jollibee crew member patting a stray dog that was hanging around outside the fast food restaurant.
It’s an unusual sight, as typically, staff at fast food chains would chase away stray animals roaming around their restaurants to ensure hygiene and cleanliness.
However, the stray dog was so well-behaved. Ong guessed the crew member helps the little canine out in life by feeding it with the restaurant’s leftovers.

Ong whipped out her phone to snap a photo of the crew member gently patting the dog on its head.
She later shared the photo on Facebook, writing: “The staff here at the Jollibee branch near Immigration have hearts of gold! No wonder this doggie just hangs around!”
“So well behaved and not afraid of people. You can tell he’s been treated well around here. What a jolly start to my day!”
Ong’s post went viral, racking up more than 33,000 reactions, with many praising the crew member for giving the little pooch some much-appreciated attention.
“Good people with good heart way to go… just make sure wash your hand before you touch or serve your customers,” one wrote.
Another commented, “This pic made my day.”
Unsurprisingly, the picture of the employee spread far and wide, warming the hearts of many.
